David Graham has been scouting locations as varied as the streets of New York to the rocky coastline of Maine for top directors and photographers since 1993. With his keen eye for his NYC hometown and upstate base in the Catskills, his knowledge of permitting the NYC Mayor's Office, and love for photography, David will provide producers a strong advantage in the demanding field of location scouting and managing. Other assignments have covered his native state of Texas (he can be hired as a local), Florida, LA, SF, and Seattle. His most recent jobs in 2023 included extensive scouting in Cascades and Mt Ranier National Parks, Mt Hood in Oregon and the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.
After attending workshops with Magnum photographer Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb in Havana, Barcelona, and Lodz, Poland, David photographed his own street photography project in Mexico City and its vast underground subways, and subsequently a monograph of scouting and travel imagery, Locatitons From a Movie I Never Made, both published by the award winning German publishers Kehrer Verlag with The Last Car.
David is based in Brooklyn and the Great Western Catskills and is a proud Teamsters 817 member.
